Embark on a private 5-day photography adventure in the breathtaking Eastern Rhodope Mountains, one of Europe’s last wildernesses. This remote region is home to a thriving population of majestic vultures, including Griffon, Cinereous, and the rare Egyptian Vulture. Alongside these iconic species, you’ll also have the chance to photograph the elusive Golden Eagle, a variety of other birds and the fascinating Golden Jackal in its natural habitat.
This tour is designed for passionate photographers seeking exceptional wildlife shots. You’ll spend 3 full days in professionally designed hides, perfectly situated for capturing the behavior and beauty of these incredible creatures up close.
Day 1: Pick-up form one of the starting points. Arrival in the Eastern Rhodopes. Settle into your accommodations and enjoy an introduction to the area and its wildlife, with your guide.
Be aware: The transfers can be very long, IE: Bucharest or Constanta to Rodhope area can take even 8 hours. On the way you’ll have short breaks for coffee and lunch.
Days 2-4: Full days in the hides.
Early in the morning, two hours before sunrise, you’ll depart to the hide with our 4X4 transportation. You’ll be set in the hide by the guide and then you have to wait very quiet for the birds / mammals.
Your guide will be with you to provide assistance, share valuable tips and ensure a seamless experience.
You’ll exit from the hide in the evening, after sunset when it’s dark. Enter / exit from hide is strictly forbidden during daylight.
The distances range of your targets is 10-100m so you can be ready for this.

In the hide is a basic toilet. Also, are 2 beds if you want to take a rest while you are waiting for the Vultures.
Breakfasts and lunches will be to go, dinner to the guesthouse.
Day 5: Departure. After breakfast, bid farewell to this remarkable region with a collection of breathtaking images and unforgettable memories.
Don’t forget about the transfer duration, when you book your flight back.

We’ve partnered with FWFF (Fund for Wild Flora and Fauna), the organization managing the Green Balkan Vulture Conservation Project in the area. A part of tour tour fee directly supports their efforts to protect and restore vulture populations in the region.
