Private Photography Day Trip to the Danube Delta

An exclusive offer from Discover Danube Delta, we give you the opportunity to discover the amazing world of wildlife in the Danube Delta, in one day, together with one of the professional photographer guides from our team.

You have included the boat (and gas) and a good guide, to show you as more as possible from the rich fauna of the Danube Delta, on the best routes available for each season.

The trip

Being a private program we can start at any hour but for the best results, we recommend you to start at sunrise time. The trip lasts 8-10h and cover an important part of the Danube Delta. We do the route to include marshlands, lakes and special areas of the Delta with places for feeding or roosting for many species of birds.

Usually we do the tour from Tulcea to Mila23 village. Here we can make a stop for mid day hours and you can experience local food for lunch. The guide is also photographer and he know what you expect. He knows very well where are the good places to photograph birds, for interesting species and how to approach by boat to the birds, to take pictures without disturbing.

All we need to know is the hour you want to start the tour, the hour you want to finish the tour (if you have a limit hour) and, the most important, if you have target species you want to photograph.

Departure is from our pontoon at Port Aval – Tulcea. Please be sure you can reach the meeting point at the established hour.

All our boats have benches and backrests for a maxim comfort. Every person on the boat will receive a life jacket, mandatory to wear it during the boat trip.

All the time we will try to learn something about the places we travel through, about the birds and the flora of the Danube Delta. Conservation Focus

Nature comes first in everything we do. Our tours are designed to minimize impact and protect the delicate ecosystem of the Danube Delta, ensuring that its rich biodiversity thrives for generations to come.

🚤 Eco-Friendly Boating: We use lower-power engines than typically required for our boats. This reduces water disturbance, minimizes fuel consumption and lowers emissions, keeping the Delta’s waters cleaner and healthier.

🐟 Slow-Speed Exploration: Our approach is gentle and respectful. By moving at a slow, steady pace, we:

  • Protect aquatic vegetation, essential for fish breeding and water filtration.
  • Prevent erosion and disturbance to bird nests along the shoreline.
  • Reduce stress on migratory and resident bird species, allowing for natural behavior and better wildlife observation.

🌍 Sustainable Nature Experiences: We believe in responsible tourism that prioritizes conservation over speed. Every tour is an opportunity to admire, respect and learn about this unique biosphere without leaving a harmful footprint.

By choosing our tours, you actively support a more sustainable way of exploring the Danube Delta. Let’s protect nature together, one slow, mindful journey at a time.
