A Land of Endless Variety

🌿 Romanian Dobrogea – The Wild Frontier
A land shaped by time itself, Romanian Dobrogea is home to some of the oldest mountains in Europe, vast steppes, wetlands, and an untamed Black Sea coast. In winter, thousands of red-breasted geese arrive from the Arctic, creating one of the most breathtaking birding spectacles. Rough-legged buzzards dominate the skies, while flocks of larks forage across the steppe. The coastal lagoons and lakes host smew, whooper swans, and great egrets, offering fantastic photographic opportunities.

🌊 Bulgarian Dobrogea – A Coastal Wonderland
Crossing into Bulgaria, the landscape transforms into a patchwork of salt lagoons, cliffs, and lush forests. Along the Black Sea, Cape Kaliakra stands as a guardian of the coastline, offering dramatic views and rare species such as Pied Wheatear and Yelkouan Shearwater. Meanwhile, the vast agricultural fields become a wintering ground for long-legged buzzards, rough-legged buzzards, and thousands of geese.
