Immerse yourself in an extraordinary wildlife photography experience in Axios Delta, Greece. This 3-day, 2-night tour is designed for photographers seeking to capture the elegance of Greater Flamingos in stunning wetland settings. Additionally, a special rock quarry session offers the opportunity to photograph the elusive Blue Rock Thrush and Western Rock Nuthatch. All photography sessions utilize mobile camouflage tents for an unobtrusive and immersive shooting experience.

Booking

Bookings are based on 350 euro deposit. The rest of the payment can be done anytime until December 01, 2025.

Group Confirmation

This program is running with minimum 2 persons subscribed. If less then 2 persons subscribe, you’ll be fully refunded.

Included in this price:

ENGLISH guidance – specialized photographer guide (during the tour);
3 Flamingos photo sessions, 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening;
1 Rock Quarry photo session, in the afternoon;
Accommodation in single or double room, bathroom en suite, for 2 nights;
Brunch for second day, breakfast on the last day;
Transport from/to Thessaloniki and during the tour.

Children policy:

Minimum age to participate is 12
Children over 12 years are charged as adults
Responsibility of children’s supervision during trips belong to parents.

Cancellation policy:

More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years).
Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & First Flamingo Photography Session

Meet at Thessaloniki Airport (or designated meeting point), at 13:00;
Transfer to Axios Delta and check-in at the accommodation;
Welcome briefing & gear preparation;
Afternoon flamingo photography session: Capture elegant flamingos in soft golden light.

Day 2: Double Photo Sessions – Flamingos & Rock Quarry

Sunrise flamingo session: Focus on reflections, feeding behavior, and flight shots;
Breakfast;
Transfer to a rock quarry location;
Afternoon rock bird session: Photograph Blue Rock Thrush and Western Rock Nuthatch in their rugged habitat;
Return to accommodation.

Day 3: Final Flamingo Session & Departure

Sunrise flamingo shoot: Capture last moments of these beautiful birds in golden morning light;
Breakfast and check-out;
Transfer back to Thessaloniki Airport.

*If you choose also the Dalmatian Pelicans Tour, you’ll have the transfer to Kerkini.

You are free to leave anytime after check-out.

Photo gear and personal gear

Long lenses are recommended, at least 300mm but best are 600 or 800mm. Waterproof bags for sensitive gear.
Proper clothes to the season/area. Please bring clothes in colors close to sand and rocks (brown, sand, khaki, dark green), avoid ANY other colors.
Please pack compact! We do not provide carrier services and the space in the car is generous but not infinite.

Shared Program

Being a SHARED program, this means the whole group goes with the same car, at the same hours (hours mutually agreed).

Climate

Winter temperature vary from -5 to +15 Celsius degrees.

Near water

Water activity, please make sure all your gear is proper protected.

Warnings

Morning can be chill, please bring proper clothes and footwear.
