Welcome to one of the wildest corners of Europe, the Balkan Mountains of Bulgaria, where Griffon Vultures, Cinereous Vultures, and Golden Jackals rule the cliffs. and skies. This summer-only photography tour is designed for those of you who want dramatic wildlife encounters and golden light.
Get your long lenses ready, it’s all about hide photography, early mornings, late afternoons and loads of action.
The price is:

The price is per person per tour and it is in euro (EUR).
*Bookings have to be done at least 10 days before the tour.

Bookings
Bookings are based on a 30% deposit of the price of the program.
The rest of the payment have to be done 30 days before the tour start. If the tour is booked less then 30 days before departure, the full price will be paid.
Included in this price:
- GUIDE (EN) – specialized assistance (during the tour);
- Hide sessions as described in the Itinerary;
- Transportation to/from tour (4X4 car), 4 times.
- Vultures and Jackals Feeding (once).
The price does not include:
- Accommodation and food;
- Drinks;
- Insurance of any kind (travel, goods, etc.);
- Flights fare;
- Personal expenses.
Children policy:
- Minimum age to participate is 12
- Children over 12 years are charged as adults
- Responsibility of children’s supervision during trip belong to parent.
Cancellation policy:
- More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years).
- Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
Conservation Concern
This tour is more than just photography – it’s also about conservation. We’ve partnered with FWFF (Fund for Wild Flora and Fauna), the organization managing the Green Balkan Vulture Conservation Project in the area. A part of tour fee directly supports their efforts to protect and restore vulture populations in the region.

Itinerary:
Day 1
15:00 – The guide will wait for you at the meeting point. (you will receive all the information at booking). Please have with you all you need for the evening photo session. The staff will transfer you to the hide (with 4×4 cars).
The photo session will last until the last light then you’ll be transferred back to your cars.
Day 2
Before sunrise (the guide will give you all the details in the evening before), transfer to the hide for the morning photo session. Because in summer temperatures can rise much over the comfort zone, you’ll have a brake at lunch. When you consider you finished the session, the guide will arrange the transfer back.
In the afternoon, when the sun is not so powerful, you’ll be transferred again to the hide, for the evening session.
Day 3
Morning session as the previous day. At noon you’ll have the transfer back to the cars and the program end.

Balkan Mountains, Bulgaria.
700m elevation. Rocky mountains.
Climate
Early summer temperature vary from 15 to 39 Celsius degrees.
Outdoor
Outdoor activity, please make sure you have all recommended gear.
Hide
Hide activity. Make sure you have all you need for all day.
To ensure a comfortable and successful nature experience, we recommend bringing the following items:
- Camera Gear: DSLR or mirrorless camera with telephoto lenses, extra batteries, memory cards and a sturdy tripod (tripod it’s a MUST).
- Clothing: Layered clothing suitable for early morning and late evening chills, waterproof jacket, hat, and sunglasses.
- Footwear: Hiking boots.
- Accessories: Binoculars for spotting distant wildlife, insect repellent and a refillable water bottle.
